Questions

Which banks work?

Any bank SimpleFIN Bridge connects to. We've confirmed BMO so far; check yours at bridge.simplefin.org. No connection? Import CSV files from online banking instead.

Why is the bank connection separate?

SimpleFIN is the service that talks to your bank, and you subscribe to them directly — US$1.50 + tax a month (about $2.50 CAD), or US$15 + tax a year (about $24 CAD). They bill in US dollars. The key to your accounts stays between you and them; Last Loonie never holds it on a server.

Is there a phone app?

Not yet. Last Loonie runs in your browser and can be added to your home screen. During the beta it's best on a computer. Your budget lives on the device you use; syncing between devices is coming.

Where is my data stored?

In your browser, on your device. There's no copy of your budget on our servers. Export a full backup any time from Settings.

What does the beta include?

Everything: budgeting, bank sync, insights and backups, for $2.50 CAD a month while you're in the beta, plus SimpleFIN's fee — and you keep that price for your first year after launch. In return, I'll ask what's working and what isn't. After the beta, Last Loonie is $59 CAD a year, or $6.99 a month.
